how to convert bmp image to binary and also how to do RADIX-2
I have an image called image.bmp.
How could I convert the image intensities to binary form.
Also, does anyone know how I could use radix-2 representation method
for median filtering for that image to reduce noise. The dimension of
the image is 256x256. for the radix-2 representation, neighbourhood
of size 3x3 should be considered.

If it is a grayscale image, the intensities are already in binary
If it is an RGB or indexed image, convert it to a grayscale
image, using rgb2gray() or ind2gray().
Perhaps by 'binary form', you mean black and white? If so, then
bwimage = 256 * (grayscaleimage >= 128)
(This might perhaps have to be adjusted if the data class of
grayscaleimage is not unit8)
